I remember Henk regretting licencing the Tetris name for the orig Tetris Attack but I'd play the heck out of this game if I had it.The most time I've sank into Panel de Pon is the game boy port though, on Game Boy Pocket and then when GBC came out I used the pastelle palette. Raphael the Raven was my fave, I loved the music so much. I love the game boy's sound chip more than the snes sound chip by a big margin. For my Panel de Pon fix recently I've been playing the DS version (Planet Puzzle League) on my 2DS (weird wedge shape → perfect for sideways!); the stylus game play is great but it doesn't look or sound as nice as the Yoshi version.
It may get on SNES Online in it's original Panel De Pon form judging by how Super Puyo Puyo 2 is there, even outside of Japan. But you aren't going to see it in it's Tetris Attack form as it wasn't on the SNES Classic nor western Virtual Consoles due to restrictions from the Tetris Company as to what a game with Tetris in it's name can be. Nintendo could just replace all instances of Tetris Attack in the game and rename it to something like Yoshi's Puzzle League but I doubt that's going to happen, since they so far haven't done more than just putting the roms in NES/SNES online and making 'Special' editions which are really just save states.
In Tetris Attack, the player is presented with a playfield consisting of a virtual grid of squares, each of which can be occupied by a colored block. Blocks are stacked on top of one another and rise steadily toward the top of the playfield, with new bloc.
